Boots

Mission accomplished:

They’re not quite thigh high, but it’s all for the better. They are quite a few other things: real leather, super comfortable, appropriate for cold Chicago temperatures (though I’ve already broken out my Uggs for face-hurting freezing weather), brown (I do not own any other boots this color), not too over the top (and they can be dressed up or down, pulled up or folded down), and a bargain. The original price was $189, but there was a sale going on the day I got them for $99.99, and I had a $25-off coupon, so they came out to $74.99. I love these boots so much more for that.

If you’re wondering, they’re these. This is now the third pair of Jessica Simpson-brand shoes I own, after black flats and silver ballet flats. Believe me, I never planned on being a fan of her shoes, but what can I say, they’re comfy and not terribly expensive. Seriously, I actually tried on pairs of similar boots by Ralph Lauren, Bandolino, Etienne Aigner, and Aldo, but the ones I got were the best for the best price.

Okay, enough rambling. Happy New Year’s Eve! Celebrate it well! I know I will. If you feel like it, tell me about your plans!

P.S. It’s going to be 53 degrees tomorrow (well, today, technically) — wtf is that?!
